Eye On Riverdale

YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED

By on March 3, 2016

March 22nd, 2016 7:30 PM at the Riverdale Firehouse.

                        Attention Citizens of RIVERDALE!

  •  How would you like to become a member of the fastest growing community group in the nation?
  • Interested in meeting more of your neighbors?
  • Want to learn more about disaster preparedness and safety skills? (Though we will have fun and talk about Zombies, we are also going to prepare for the spring floods and the next major storm our town is likely to face.)

If you are up to the challenge of meeting your neighbors, and being better prepared to help your family and friends, then please join the Riverdale CERT as it begins its grand re-formation this month. CERT will be meeting on Tuesday March 22nd 2016 at 7:30. The meeting will take place at the Riverdale Fire house located on Post Lane. Refreshments will be served.

A key component of our State’s community preparedness and participation initiative is the Community Emergency Response Team. CERT provides opportunity for citizen volunteers to become active and involved in homeland security and emergency management activities designed to make individuals, their families and their communities safer, stronger and better prepared to deal with a terrorist attack or a natural disaster.

At our first meeting we will begin in earnest with FREE training, Safety Drills and social events. Follow on meetings have been scheduled for April 19th and May 17th. Additional information will be discussed at the March meeting. This is an open invitation so please feel free to bring your friends and family as we begin anew for 2016.

Please contact Russ Hatzel at rwh077@msn.com with any questions.

See you on the 22nd.
