Eye On Riverdale

Don’t Forget to Vote!

By on November 7, 2016

Clearly this has been the strangest Presidential race in history. However, the Trump-Clinton Saga is not the only oddity this Election Day, Riverdale has one of it’s own.

It seems disgruntled ex-Mayor William Budesheim and one of his cohorts, ex-Councilman Gary Mastrangelo are back on the ballot running for Borough Council. But get this… the two self-proclaimed True Conservatives are running as Democrats.

Yes, it seems they decided not to run in the Republican Primary Elections and used a little-known loophole to get themselves on the ballot through a backdoor. If you were wondering why once again you were receiving Budesheim HATE MAIL, now you know. Don’t let them fool you, their only objective is disrupt the progress being made by the new administration. As usual they are willing to go to extreme lengths to distort the truth to try to gain votes.

The winners of the Republican Primary were Steve Revis, running for his second term, running with Paul Purcell who is looking to fill the seat being vacated by Councilman Garrett Astarita at the end of this year. You can learn more about these candidates at their website: Revis-Purcell 2016

Revis and Purcell have the endorsements of Mayor Paul Carelli, Councilmen Dave Desai, Vinnie Pellegrini, Garrett Astarita and Matt Oswald, Morris County Freeholders Kathryn DeFillippo, Douglas Cabana and Thomas Mastrangelo (no relation), among others.

Although you may be put-off by all hate mail and negative campaigning, don’t let it discourage you from voting tomorrow. It’s not just your right, it is your obligation.

Thank you!
